Waiters was the fourth overall pick in the 2012 draft and is finally starting to show the offensive consistency that he hinted at in the Summer League. He has scored 21 points in each of his last two games, totaling five treys and four steals in the two games. Slowly but surely Waiters has improved his passing skills leading to increased assist totals.

Picking first, the Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly will not be dissuaded by all the baggage Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore brings to the table. It’s by no means a certainty that McLemore will go No. 1, but the fact that the redshirt freshman had issues with his representatives that necessitated NCAA investigation and that he failed to impress in workouts has scared some teams off. The Cavs are not one of them, apparently. Besides, McLemore could be the most sure thing in this somewhat uninspired draft.
Depending on who you speak to you, any one of the top half dozen players listed here could go first, but despite a torn ACL that will sideline him until December, most expect Noel (6’11”, 206) to go No. 1. He has the chance to be a serious defensive force as you can see in the video below.
