Since Granger’s injury happened Tuesday, weekly lineup leaguers were once again stuck without their stud – and had no recourse to try to shuffle their lineup and adapt. Hopefully this was just one more nail in the coffin of the ridiculous and out-dated league format known as “weekly lineups.”

As far as executing the moves I felt there was a slight delay between when I jabbed the right stick for a juke and when it took place. For better or worse that split second seems to make it more about anticipating than reacting, so for me it took a little while to get the timing down. Also of minor annoyance is that the game’s default controller setting is “arcade,” meaning you’ll need to change it before playing each time you load up the game since it won’t save your preference.

While his overall numbers slipped again this year, Granderson did stay healthy and posted his first 30-homer season. And moving away from Comerica could be huge for him; he recorded an OPS of 861 on the road compared to just 695 at home. I’m expecting a major bounce back from Granderson in 2010.
