Loney was toiling through a rather pedestrian year, even by his standards, but he caught fire in mid-August. For those that took the plunge over the final six weeks he provided you with seven homers, 28 RBI and an amazing .388 BA. Who could have seen that one coming? Will it be enough to save Loney from being non-tendered by the Dodgers? Time will tell.

Likewise, the auto aim makes for relatively skill-free shooting. All you have to do is ready your weapon and rotate in the general direction of an incoming zombie and you’ll hit them. You can adjust to shoot high (useful for shotgun decapitations) and low, but that’s it.

Well, what have we here? Painter threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns — without a pick — against Kansas City in Week Five, thus solidifying his hold on the Colts’ starting job. There’s a downside here, though: 237 of Painter’s yards came in the first half, and that kind of inconsistency should be expected as he adapts to the NFL. He is making progress, though, and as long as he’s at the helm of the Colts’ weapon-laden offense, he’s worthy of consideration in larger Fantasy leagues. He faces a tough matchup in Cincy this week, but Painter is a serviceable option in two-quarterback leagues if one of your regulars is on a bye.

Well, sure enough, the Snakes took the series to the limit, and even led 1-0 after three innings before the Brewers forced extra innings and eeked out a win in the bottom of the 10th to eliminate Arizona on Friday.

Speaking of the playoffs, we’re just thrilled that MLB is finally discussing going from eight teams making the postseason to 10, a change that could happen as soon as next year. It’s a long-needed move that will help generate much more interest in the game and is a fan-friendly decision. So kudos to MLB. And that’s not something you’ll hear me say very often.
