Video Game Review: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Despite being the fifth title under the Black Ops banner, Cold War is actually a direct sequel to the original Black Ops released back in 2010. We pick up in the early 1980s with familiar faces Mason and Woods ready to do a little wetwork with CIA handler Russell Adler, eventually uncovering a nuclear threat posed by a Soviet operative known as Perseus, who the US believed had been killed during the Vietnam War.

NFL 2020 Week 11: Eight Observations

Oh man, there’s some sweet-looking games on tap for Week 11. We already witnessed a great battle for NFC West supremacy on Thursday. On Sunday, we’ve got Tennessee and Baltimore in a rematch of last year’s AFC divisional playoff game; Green Bay’s offense vs. Indy’s D; and KC taking on Las Vegas, with the Chiefs seeking to avenge their only loss over the last 15 games. Monday offers another big one with the Rams traveling to Tampa Bay.

Video Game Review: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Set in ninth Century Europe, Valhalla tells the tale of Eivor, whose parents are murdered when he (or she, depending on which you select) was a child. After seeking the perpetrator for nearly two decades you finally exact your revenge, freeing yourself and your adopted brother Sigurd to leave Norway when their father pledges fealty to a new king against their wishes. Thus the pair make the trip across the sea with dozens of others to settle in England.
