The Boys Dominating Jersey Sales

Dick's Sporting Goods Jersey Report
DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report is a fascinating look into player popularity.

This post brought to you by DICK'S Sporting Goods. The content and opinions expressed below are that of RotoRob.

With the NFL’s best record at 10-1 (and currently riding a 10-game win streak), the Dallas Cowboys may soon be America’s Team once again.

At the very least, their recent domination is sparking a serious interest in their jerseys as the shirts of four of their stars currently rank among the top nine sellers in the USA according to DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report.

The report, launched five years ago, represents an aggregation of all on-line and in-stores sales data of the latest NFL jerseys at DICK’S Sporting Goods, the nation’s largest sporting goods retailer, one with a big presence on Facebook and Instagram.

You can search through the report based on overall (all players), by offense only, by defense only, by rookies, and by team rankings, all of which can be viewed by week, 30 days or for the season (which for this purpose, starts on draft day).

RotoRob likes to rock his Chargers’ powder blue.

DICK’S believes sports makes people better, and who can argue with that philosophy? It’s one we’ve shared since the day we entered the world pink and fearless.

The four biggies for the Cowboys on the jersey front this week are:

  • Ezekiel Elliott, RB: One of the keys behind Dallas rebuilding its identity this year, this rookie back soared from No. 4 last week after scoring another two touchdowns on Turkey Day. We bet plenty of kids were thinking of owning Elliott’s jersey when they snapped the wish bone at dinner.
  • Jason Witten, TE: Up six spots this week, from 11 to five, this veteran continues to make big plays en route to what’s shaping up as his best season since 2013.
  • Dak Prescott, QB: Soaring up the charts this week (from 21 to eight) is rookie quarterback sensation Prescott. Despite his lowest passing yardage total of the season on Thanksgiving, he turned in another highly efficient outing while adding his fourth rushing touchdown of what’s become a brilliant season.
  • Dez Bryant, WR: Rounding out the Cowboy quartet in the Top 10 is Bryant, up eight spots to No. 9 this week. There was plenty of trash talking between him and Josh Norman on Thanksgiving, but in the end it was Bryant who had the last laugh, busting through for several big plays to help Dallas win in a game he was questionable to play in because of his back.

Other notes of interest:

  • Carson Wentz jerseys rank No. 1 overall not only over the last 30 days, but for the entire season, proving fans sure do love their rookies.
  • But don’t forget about the veterans! Tom Brady is No. 2 overall for the season, so there’s clearly still plenty of love out there for the greybeards.
  • Odell Beckham Jr. jersey continue to be red hot, rising from No. 6 to No. 3 this week among all offensive players.

Blu-ray Review: War Dogs

November 28, 2016 | by HC Green | Comments Comments Off on Blu-ray Review: War Dogs
Hill has had no shortage of memorable roles during his career, from Superbad to Moneyball to Wolf of Wall Street, but we’re not sure he’s done a better job than what he did in War Dogs. While we have no idea how faithful the portrayal is to real life, Hill is simultaneously endearing and grotesque with his sweaty spray tan, greased back hair and high pitched laugh.

The Wire Troll: Minnesota’s Young Talent Ready For Prime Time

A journeyman, Johnson seems to have finally found his place in the NHL. The Flames’ netminder led all goaltenders last week with three wins, a 1.00 goals against average, a .968 save percentage and a shutout. He has seven wins, a 1.98 goals against average and a .928 save percentage this season, meaning you should have already added him to your team.

The Wire Troll: Bismack Biyombo Waving the Finger in Orlando

Mills is mostly coming off the bench, so his minutes tend to fluctuate, but he’s recently been seeing enough action to put up Fantasy-worthy numbers, including Friday’s 19-point explosion that featured two treys and a steal. This diminutive Australian nearly led his country to its first ever basketball medal in the Olympics in the summer, ranking second in the tourney with 21.3 PPG, so you know he’s capable of carrying an offense when needed.

Video Game Review: Dragon Quest Builders

November 25, 2016 | by HC Green | Comments (0)
Our story picks up after some very bad things have gone down in Alefgard, leaving the world little more than a smoldering ruin of its former greatness. Into this situation steps “The Builder” (that’s you), a non-hero that nonetheless possesses the forgotten ability to build, and it is you that is destined to lift this world up and return it to prominence.
