The Knicks were bad last season. They were trainwreck bad. They were so awful and so ill-conceived, that I would watch games just for the sheer comedy of it all. What’s not to love about a slow, plodding team with no shooters playing an uptempo offense and very little defense?

The Washington Wizards were one of the NBA’s worst teams last season, racking up a franchise record-tying 63 losses while finishing dead last in the Eastern Conference – by a shocking 13 games. Their offense was pretty bad, and their defence wasn’t much better. After four straight seasons in the playoffs, they spent their first April watching the postseason from the couch since 2003-04.

Anyone familiar with the NBA 2k series will feel at home with the controls. Those that aren’t may find things slow going since there’s no built-in tutorial. All the in-game moves can be found under the “How to Play” tab, but it’s nothing more than a list of button and stick commands. However, once you get the feel for handling your player you’ll find a tight, responsive game that allows you to pull off some really fluid movements.
