The Wire Troll: He’s Still DeJuan

Things didn’t go so well in his next game, but with Okafor sidelined for up to three weeks, Smith should see close to 25 minutes per night in the short term. The third-year pro has averaged a modest 10.2 points and five rebounds in his six career starts, so don’t knock over the furniture in your race to add him to your roster. Perkins made his first appearance of the season on Tuesday, after missing the Celts’ first 43 games while recovering from ACL surgery. He has averaged 6.3 points and 6.3 boards in his first three games back, but those numbers are bound to grow as his playing time increases. The Wire Troll: Talk to Chuck

In five games since returning from a sprained ankle, the undersized Rocket centre has averaged 9.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.2 BPG and 1.2 SPG in 31.2 MPG while canning a ridiculous 61.8 per cent of his shots from the field. Okay, so Hayes has limited upside, but he’s been lauded for his stellar defensive play, so he will likely keep this job and continue to provide low-level Fantasy value for the remainder of the season.
