Diagnosed with autism as a child, Christian Wolff (Affleck) has an incredible talent with numbers, which — paired with an unconventional upbringing from his Spec Ops father — has made him a highly sought after forensic accountant for some of the world’s most notorious organizations. His next job is to audit a seemingly innocuous robotics firm based on a discrepancy found by an in-house accountant.

Blu-ray Review: Sully

Hanks is, without question, one of the finest actors in history. He does a great job of capturing the understated nature of Sullenberger, showing his post-crash struggles with whether or not he’d done the right thing coupled with concerns over what the NTSB may conclude. While his work here may not be on the level of Philadelphia or Saving Private Ryan, it’s arguably his best showing since Cast Away.

Video Game Review: The Last Guardian

Although its narrative is thin on details, The Last Guardian proves compelling due to the developing relationship between the boy and Trico. In broad terms, the boy has been kidnapped and Trico has been locked up, and the two of them need one another to escape. It isn’t a great story in the traditional sense, but it succeeds in making you feel invested in what’s happening around you.

Blu-ray Review: Storks

If you’re a parent, odds are you’ve come to appreciate the Pixar effect, AKA movies made for kids that still have enough nuggets thrown in to entertain adults. Once that formula proved profitable, however, the market was flooded with those types of movies. And for every Toy Story or Finding Nemo there was a Norm of the North (ugh).
