The veteran Venezuelan accepted his assignment and went down to Triple-A and then was back in LA for September after getting added back onto the 40-man roster. Down the stretch, Abreu only appeared as a pinch-hitter.

Investigation is the name of the game, which equates to lots of meticulously walking every available inch of an area and pressing a button when on-screen prompts (either a hand or a magnifying glass) pop up. If you’ve yet to see or do everything at a particular point they’ll be outlined in blue; once completed they turn green. It handles fine, though the persistent swaying in first-person view can occasionally make it difficult to investigate a particularly small object when zoomed in.

Though the game rewards those who take the non-lethal approach by allowing the world and endgame to be more pleasant, killing is just too fun. Sword play is extremely thrilling, and all the greatest skills and gadgets are lethal — from calling in a swarm of plague-infested rats to devour a guard to setting a mine that springs an explosion, the most creative, exciting takedowns are the ones that leave enemies strewn about and bleeding. Plus, being unseen is actually too easy, so challenging enemies can keep the game more lively.

Well, to say it was a seamless process would be a lie; it took a lot of work for Minor to evolve into one of the three starters the Braves trusted enough to put on the Wild Card game roster.

Intuitive and enjoyable as it is, there are some issues when interacting with NPCs and environments. As your kingdom flourishes, the citizen count increases, and when trying to recruit specific people from a mob, it gets messy — most times you’ll end up picking somebody you don’t want. This wouldn’t be a problem if you had more control over your lineup. Pressing “triangle” does a quick roll call to cycle through your followers’ job classes, but it would’ve been nice to point and dismiss a member as easily as you recruited them.

Last season, he stayed healthy and continued to improve his outside game, although he didn’t get as many points at the line and his FT percentage dropped to career worst levels. On the plus side, KD became a monster on the boards and also a pretty good contributor of assists. He’s done a good job the past couple of seasons of staying out of foul trouble and his scoring numbers bounced back somewhat last season. The key player of a young core in OKC which made it to the Finals last season, Durant just turned 24 last month, so there is still a ton of upside here, and that’s a scary proposition for the rest of the NBA.
