Video Game Review: Ori and the Will of the Wisps

While the game puts lots of tools and options at your disposal, they often don’t feel as smoothly implemented as we wanted them to be. Far too often we found ourselves cursing a missed jump or taking damage from an enemy that our melee strikes carried us into. There’s little more annoying than getting stuck on some thorns, unable to leap to safety as you watch your life slip away. We welcome the challenge of smart level design, but uneven controls added more frustration than we would’ve liked.

Blu-ray Review: Richard Jewell

As we watched the film we found ourselves hoping that Wilde’s Scruggs would be a composite of multiple reporters, much in the same way Hamm’s Agent Shaw is. It wasn’t, and it’s hard to imagine Eastwood, Wilde and company thinking portraying Scruggs as someone that sleeps with sources to get key info was a good move. She’s largely cast as the villain, along with Hamm, shown as a conniving headline chaser with no scruples. A late (and modest) redemption arc does nothing to really redeem the character.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk is beginning to step up for the Detroit Pistons.

The Wire Troll: Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk Going Downtown in Detroit

Harris is a versatile player capable of attacking from all angles. Before a quiet game against Dallas on Wednesday, he had at least 14 points in three straight and has been sinking more buckets this month than at any point this season. Pretty much a full-time starter in Denver for the last five seasons, Harris dealt with a minor eye woe last game, but given the current NBA situation, this is a non-factor going forward.

Nikita Gusev is having a strong rookie season for the New Jersey Devils.

The Wire Troll: Jonathan Quick Jumps Back in Time

Not your typical rookie — the Russian born Gusev is 27 — he’s still enjoying a very fine debut season. On Tuesday, his six-game point streak was snapped, but he’s coming off a very strong February (10 points in 14 games) and has been getting plenty of PP time of late. Gusev looks like a very fine option both in redraft leagues and in DFS play.

Video Game Review: The Yakuza Remastered Collection

This was our introduction to the series, having missed the first two games that launched on the PlayStation 2, so it was fun to revisit it. We were blissfully unaware of the controversy of having elements like the massage parlour removed from the U.S. launch, so it was fun to go back and tool around with a more complete version of the game. It’s also the only one of three here to feature Kiryu as the primary protagonist.

Cameron Johnson is starting to deliver for the Phoenix Suns.

The Wire Troll: Cameron Johnson Could Thrive Down the Stretch

Milton has been providing some key contributions to the Sixers lately, scoring 17 or more in three of the last four and on Thursday adding four assists, three boards, two blocks and a steal. He’s perfect from the line this month (not that he gets there that often, mind you), but most impressive is that he’s been playing at a top 30 level over the last week, so grab Milton while you can.
