Blu-ray Review: The Big Short

There are excellent performances everywhere in The Big Short, highlighted by Gosling’s over-the-top caricature of Vennett — he’s given most of the best lines and also doubles as the narrator, breaking down the fourth wall in the process — and Bale’s Academy Award nominated turn as the eccentric Burry. How Bale was beaten out for the award by Mark Rylance’s one-note performance in Bridge of Spies remains a mystery to us.

The Wire Troll: Lance Stephenson Getting Gritty in Grizzlyland

Brown’s last two contests haven’t been stellar, but he started off the week with a career-high 23-point performance. While things still look muddy in Brooklyn, he is racking up a ton of minutes and getting the occasional start, which may ultimately result in more production. Seek Brown out if you need a potential offensive contributor.

Video Game Review: The Last Maharaja DLC

That’s both good news and bad news. The DLC spans about 3-to-4 hours depending on how you play, and you’re not going to get anything particularly new out of it. You will get, however, 10 pretty fun missions that act as something of a best-of platter for the series. There’s brawling, sneaking, infiltration, chasing, those awful carriage races and, of course, plenty of assassinating.
