This year, things were quite different as he kicked some ass at Triple-A en route to winning MVP honours in the PCL. Renfroe scored a boatload of runs, flashed fantastic extra-base power and was ridiculously productive. He improved his contact rate and even pitched in with a few swipes.

Although the original series was heavy on exploration, the movie franchise has done a good job of throttling up the combat. That’s the case once again here, and the action sequences, whether on land or in space, are well choreographed and engaging. The initial encounter between the Enterprise and the pulsating mass of ships that comprise the enemy force is particularly impressive from a technical standpoint.

Battlefield 1 is stunning in every facet. Map design is simply beautiful, whether it’s the foliage dotting the hills of Monte Grappa or the shelled, sandy beaches of Empire’s Edge. It all looks spectacular. Each map you play on has dynamic weather conditions that not only affect the visuals but also severely has an impact on the gameplay.

Unfortunately, the biggest change between last year’s version and this one is the loss of 2k Showcase, which had allowed you to play through some of WWE’s biggest moments and hottest feuds in previous years. For long-time fans it was a nice blast of nostalgia accompanied by impeccable video packages that highlighted the lead up to matches and situations. It’s greatly missed.
