You’re guided by an unseen entity that wants to perform a ritual. Not all is as it seems, however, and perhaps the entity doesn’t have your, or the forest’s, best interests at heart.

Ramirez may not be inducing infield flies at his normal rate, but his K/BB rate is superb and — given a chance to start on Friday, he once again teased us with his talent, which he is wont to do from time to time. Ramirez’s HR/FB ratio is better than usual this season, and that’s likely to correct itself, but if you need a starter, you may want to give him a long look.

It also feels forced. In The Ring, Watts has clear motivations and a skill set that fits the journey. Here, not so much. After Skye is killed — an event for which Julia is present and sees the aftermath of — Holt is fewer than 12 hours from his own horrific death. He insists Julia not watch lest she be marked and is so concerned about her and his own impending doom that he… goes to bed and leaves his laptop with the video easily accessible.

Outlast 2 seems to want to be bigger and better than the first game in every way. That’s a nice focus, but it ends up diluting the experience somewhat. The game opens on a helicopter ride, which, well… players likely know where that’s going.

He missed a bit of time with a shoulder injury, and while you’d like to see more in the way of assists from him, Johnson proved a fine Fantasy asset capable of contributing in virtually every other category (although after averaging nearly a block in January, he normalized after the All-Star break, going down to 0.4 per game).

There’s a light-hearted vibe to xXx, even when the theoretical stakes are incredibly high, and it feels surprisingly fresh at a time when so many action films take themselves so seriously — it’s also what makes the Guardians films so different. Diesel’s carefree shtick isn’t all that convincing, but he’s surrounded with people that seem to be having a good time in their roles.

Miami’s first round pick from last year finally made his pro debut last week, tossing 4 2/3 shutout frames at Low A. Garrett definitely got a bit lucky with the goose egg given the control issues, but overall, it was worth the wait. Keeper league owners need to have this dude on their radar.
