Apparently, a change of scenery after nine years in the Rays’ system was all Beckham needed to remind us why he went first overall in the 2008 draft. Since landing in B-More, he’s racked up four straight multi-hit games, including a four-hit bonanza Friday, making him the only active player to put up multiple hits in each of his first four games with his current team. Beckham is finally a productive big leaguer, so grab him now. Perhaps he’s just a late bloomer (remember, he’s still just 27).

The Wire Troll: Alen Hanson Delivering for Pale Hose

Siani has emerged as a potential first round pick in 2018 thanks to his excellent speed and superb fielding skills as a centre fielder. There’s some raw power here that could manifest itself in game play in time, so small wonder he was named to the Perfect Game 2017 Underclassmen First Team. The hype machine for Siani will begin in earnest in a few months, so if you have a deep farm system in your league that allows you to grab high schoolers, consider him.

The Wire Troll: Chase Headley Shifts Corners

Notwithstanding a stinker Friday, Valencia has been getting it done lately, delivering three hits over the previous two days, and going yard on back-to-back days last weekend. He’s actually cooled off a bit this month after a very nice June, but given his gap power and decent BA, he seems a tad underowned, so if you need corner infield help in a mixed league, give him a look.
