Brandon Saad has picked up his scoring for the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Wire Troll: Brandon Saad Providing Scoring

We’ve already pimped Acciari this season, but he deserves a second look given what a good campaign he’s having. He picked up an assist on Thursday, was +1 for a third straight game and, with 10 shots over the last four, he’s been generating offense. Acciari ripped back-to-back hat tricks earlier this season, so he’s a dude capable of scoring in bunches. You’ll definitely want him on your team the next time he’s goes on a tear.

The Wire Troll: Juan Hernangomez Helped by Minny Injury

Theis continues to be an unsung hero in Boston, but on a team lacking size, he’s playing an important role and doing a tremendous job. He’s scored nine or more points in four straight, putting up one double-double and flirting with others. Theis has been getting to the line more often than usual this month, and after seeing a slight uptick in touches last season, has become a bigger cog in the offense this season. You can do worse when looking for help at centre, and the fact that Boston was unable to add anyone at the deadline cements his role down the stretch.

Clutterbuck has been dealing with a wrist injury, but he’s going to start skating when the Isles come off their bye week, which should mean he’ll return around mid-February. His modest offense was down further this season, but that’s not his chief allure (he hasn’t scored more than eight goals since 2015-16). Clutterbuck is the king of hits, regularly placing among the league leaders. In fact, he’s still 35th in the NHL despite missing the last 16 games.

Meyers Leonard could get more action for the Miami Heat.

The Wire Troll: Damyean Dotson Rises on Depth Chart

A top-notch defender and fine three-point shooter, Tucker’s recent results have been limited thanks to foul trouble. He’s been a fixture in the starting lineup for Houston the last two seasons, and is enjoying his best shooting season (45.6 per cent) since 2012-13. Sure, Tucker’s offensive upside is limited, but if you can use a dude that cans 1.5 three-pointers per game, here you go.

Ilya Kovalchuk has been a nice addition for the Montreal Canadiens.

The Wire Troll: Ilya Kovalchuk Killing it in Montreal

He scored a goal with four hits and +1 rating on Thursday, giving him a four-game point streak (2-4-6). Duchene started the season well, but has been sliding since, so it’s good to see him coming on now. After scoring a career-high 31 goals last season, he’s only on pace for 20 this season, but should reach 40 assists for just the third time in his career, so the news isn’t all bad.
