The Wire Troll: Nate Robinson Drops Some Dimes

Little Nate can’t drop a dime? He notched 11 of them Friday to go along with a dozen points for his first double-double of the season. Despite a poor shooting performance Friday, he’s been lights out of late and he’s been healthy all season. We also love that Robinson has been taking it to the hoop lately, something that helped him pot a team leading 24 points Wednesday.

The Wire Troll: NHL Returns Crazier Than Ever

Fantasy owners were not sure what to make of the season Glencross had in 2011-12, so naturally he picks up right off where he left off with a five-point week. This is not a fluke. Glencross can play and if he keeps getting more and more opportunities, he is going to be worth the pickup all season long. Let’s see what he can do this week, but something tells us he is worth at least a depth pick.

The Wire Troll: Mulling Byron Mullens

His slump continued into January, but Green is showing signs of awakening from his slumber, reaching double digits in scoring in the last two games, racking up five steals and five treys along the way. This dude shoots the vast majority of his shots from downtown, and although he’s not hoisted as many as usual lately, he’s been deadly accurate. Green has simply canned more buckets this season as he continues to improve as an NBA player. While he’s hot, pick him up – especially if you need help in three-pointers. Remember that San Antonio only plays twice next week, so if you pick him up, bench him in weekly formats.

The Wire Troll: Al-Farouq Aminu is Cleaning the Glass

With CP3 currently nursing a bruised kneecap, Bledsoe has started the past few games, once again emerging with some value. At this point, Paul is expected back any day, but if this injury lingers into next week, Bledsoe will be huge with the Clips on tap for five games. Bledsoe has averaged 6.5 boards in the past two games, has eight steals over the last three games and the youngster is having a career year as he proves he can be a weapon off the bench for the Clippers. Even when Paul returns, Bledsoe could retain value in deeper formats.

The Wire Troll: Andre Drummond Needs More PT

To wit, he’s barely cracked the top 150 among two-guards so far this season, but we still love his prospects for the remainder of the campaign. Now that Boston has its full lineup together at last, we’re expecting Bradley to really roll. He made his season debut Wednesday, and looked predictably rusty in 20 minutes. Friday, he got a bit more PT, responding with six points, a board, an assist, a steal and a block. Bradley makes the Celtics a better team, so the PT will come, and when it does, the production will follow. Jump on him now while you can.

The Wire Troll: Chris Copeland Can Score

With Christmas now in the rear view mirror, we are well into the Fantasy basketball season. By now, you should have identified your strengths and weaknesses and taken steps to address those deficiencies, either through trades or the wire. The latter is where we aim to help and the key thing to track at this time of year is the injury list, because that is where you stand to gain the most by uncovering players who will benefit from a teammate’s health woes, even if it’s just on a short-term basis.
