The Wire Troll: Ed Davis Starting for Raps

He was really getting it done as the team’s Sixth Man, but now that he’s moved into the starting lineup for the Suns, Brown is really rolling, yet is still widely available. Okay, so he was invisible Friday, but the minutes were there and he’s been getting more touches lately. Brown is also starting to nail a few more from beyond the arc a bit, although his touch has been a bit off in that regard. And obviously, more minutes has translated into slightly more turnovers, but it’s not a major issue. Grab Brown while he’s getting the PT.

The Wire Troll: Vince Carter Putting on a Show From Downtown

Pietrus pretty much remained on the periphery of Fantasy value last season in Boston, but he seems to be reborn since the Raptors signed him at the end of November. Injuries in Toronto have allowed the swingman to quickly become the starting small forward and he’s taken advantage of his opportunity so far, scoring 21 points in 40 minutes Wednesday and following that up with a four-trey night Friday en route to 13 points with three blocks and a fourth straight game with a steal. Pietrus has never gotten this kind of burn before, so grab him while you can.

The Wire Troll: Ben Gordon Lighting It up for Cats

Admittedly, we hadn’t paid much attention to Singler prior to this season, but he’s starting to demand our scrutiny now. He’s headed into a juicy four-game week and has responded well (12 points per game) since moving into the Pistons’ starting five a couple of weeks ago. The rook had his first career double-double Monday and has enjoyed three straight multi-steal efforts. There were questions whether he’d be a SF or PF in the NBA, but right now, he’s finding himself as Detroit’s starting two-guard, but he still qualifies as a forward for Fantasy purposes.

The Wire Troll: Boris Diaw is Back on the Fantasy Radar

In his first start as a Cav on Wednesday all Pargo did was pour in 28 points, can four treys, pull down five boards and dish four dimes. He followed that up Friday with another 15 points in 30 minutes Friday. Okay, so the assists aren’t exactly flowing and his defense leaves something to be desired, but that huge debut has Pargo flying off the wire so grab him while you can.

The Wire Troll: Metta World Peace Prevails

However, he started flashing a little something-something last week, but inconsistencies are to be expected from such a young player (19). Still, we love the amount of touches he’s getting lately and once he starts finding his range, the scoring potential here is tremendous. Beal will be frustrating to own while he figures it out, but we’re convinced he’ll be a serious force by season’s end.
