However, his save percentage plummeted when he went to Tampa. In Lindback’s first season, he had a .902 save percentage with a 2.90 GAA, and in his second season, he had a .891 save percentage with a 2.90 GAA. Last season he topped .905 save percentage for the first time since he was on the Predators. However, at the start of last season when Lindback was on the Stars, he had a .875 save percentage with a 3.71 GAA. It wasn’t until he was traded to Buffalo when he started to post good numbers.

We really thought some team was going to fork over a contract of four or more years to Williams, so we’re really surprised at how short of a term the Capitals got him for. We think this is great value for the Capitals and they didn’t have to break the bank. Williams will surely help in the Capitals’ playoff run and can add some much needed secondary scoring.

Francois Beauchemin 2015-16 Outlook

Beauchemin heading to the Avalanche might lower his point total a little because Anaheim was such a high-scoring team and — last season at least — Colorado was not. The Ducks ranked 10th in goals while the Avalanche was 21st. However, we don’t think that his point total will be too affected by switching teams, but rather that it will drop because last season his shooting percentage was more than double his career average.

We always thought of Enroth as the Sabres’ goalie of the future and believed he had the potential to be a starter in the NHL. Considering how cheap the Kings signed him for, we think they were able to sign a solid backup for a very team-friendly price. However, we don’t like this deal from Enroth’s perspective for reasons we will get into below.

Going into free agency, we thought Beleskey’s contract was going to be atrocious. There were reports that he was asking for seven years and he turned down a four-year, $16 million contract offer from the Ducks. However, we were quite surprised at how low the cap hit was when it was announced that Boston had signed him. We think the term was one year too long, but overall, it’s a decent contract. If Boston still has any hopes of making the playoffs, which it said it does, it needed a top nine forward.

NHL Free Agency Recap: Defensemen

We think Green will continue to provide a lot of offense for Fantasy hockey owners and might actually improve his point totals on the Wings if he stays healthy. He has shown in previous seasons that he can be one of the league’s most dominating offensive blueliners and we think he will build on last season’s performance.
Even though Green won’t be on the absolute best Power Play in the league anymore, he will surely be quarterbacking Detroit’s dynamic unit. Last season, the Wings’ Power Play was second best in the league with a conversion rate of about 24 per cent (Washington clicked about 25 per cent of the time). Also, both teams scored a similar amount of goals last season (Washington 242, Detroit 235).
