Nichushkin’s production has led to an uptick in PT; on both Wednesday and Friday, for instance, he paced all Colorado forwards in ice time. At 6’4″, 210, he has amazing size for a winger, and given how powerful his skating is, there’s amazing upside here. If Nichushkin is finally developing a bit of consistency and will battle game in and game out, look out.

After Hilliard’s massive showing against the stingy Patriot defense, now he gets to go up against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 21st-ranked defense, which is allowing 378 total yards per game, including 116 on the ground. The Jaguars have shown they are susceptible to teams pounding the rock against them.

We’re back to give him another look now that Booker’s out, and so far, so good. On Thursday, Shamet got his first start of the season and responded with 14 points, four threes and three boards, and then he added another three treys on Friday. His bucket count was up last month, but overall he’s seen his role reduced this season. This is Shamet’s chance to change that, and early on, he’s looked good, so makes for a nice short-term addition, especially if you need help with three-pointers.

Coming off a bye in Week 11, Jefferson turned nine targets into 93 yards receiving with a touchdown. Stafford passed the ball 38 times and tossed three touchdowns in a high scoring showdown against the Packers. In Week 13, the Rams face a struggling Jaguar defense that’s allowing 25.7 points and 258 yards passing per game.

Last year, Samuel was a key piece of Carolina’s offense, chipping in with short receptions and acting as a constant threat in the run game. He was one of Washington’s big free agent pickups in the offseason, so the coaching staff want him to be a major piece of the attack.

The move paid immediate dividends as Birch — mostly known as a defensive specialist — came through with 14 points on Thursday. He followed that up with a near double-double on Friday, adding four steals and two blocks. Birch could stick as a starter for the time being, so expect his bucket count to rise while he provides help on the glass and pitches in with the occasional block or two. He’s definitely a better post player than he’s given credit for, and now he has a chance to prove it.
