Video Game Review: Jydge

Outside of a handful of “Neon Channel” news segments there’s no real plot to Jydge, and as a old-fashioned twin-stick shooter it doesn’t need it. Basically the streets are riddled with crime, traditional law enforcement methods are ineffective and the Jydge initiative has been introduced to deal with the riff raff. Got it? The Wire Troll: Shea Theodore Proving Valuable in Vegas

Vanek has been going hog wild lately, enjoying a four-point game last week, an assist last Saturday, and then a five-point explosion on Thursday. It’s the second time in his career he’s put up a five-point game and just the fourth time in the last 20 years a Canuck player has achieved this. Vanek is averaging nearly a point per game this month, and despite seeing less ice time this season, he looks headed for a nice bounce back effort. Of course, having said that, his minutes are rising as the season progresses, so he could be in line for an even bigger second half. Grab the veteran now.

Video Game Review: Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Episode 3

This episode, which feels shorter in length and faster in pace than the previous episodes, portrays Rachel’s final moments — and Chloe’s narrative which parallels it — as the life of a smart but troubled teen girl. The problem with this is that as the proverbial Laura Palmer of the series, there’s a gap between who you see in Before the Storm and her destiny in the original series.
