Fortunately for Black Ops III, the tweaks to the multiplayer formula are well implemented. While the core elements of shooting remain familiar, you now choose a specific character with unique abilities known as a specialist. Each has a special weapon and ability, though you can choose only one before a match, that can be used once you’ve filled a meter.

Set after the events of the reboot, Rise of the Tomb Raider finds Lara determined to salvage the legacy of her father, who was discredited for his belief in an artifact that grants immortality. Her obsessions have not gone unnoticed, however, and she now finds herself in the crosshairs of Trinity, a mysterious group pursuing said object as well.

This year, Ubisoft has stripped away the multiplayer component and focused on a single-player experience that actually works out of the box. We suppose that says something about how much damage Unity did to series expectations, but the good news is that outside of the occasional strange hiccup, Syndicate is largely bug free.

Staying true to the Tales series, Tales of Zestiria is a linear progression that focuses on character dynamics, customization and intricate storyline. The main draw would definitely be the new story set in the continent of Glenwood, a land where spiritual beings called Seraphim and humans live in co-existence.

If, like us, this is when you started following the company it makes for a mostly enjoyable nostalgic trip as Austin battles his greatest rivals — Bret “Hitman” Hart, The Rock, Undertaker and, of course, Mr. McMahon — across almost 30 matches. Excellent montage videos chronicle the history behind the feuds, and there are even a few cool bonus bouts, including his ECW battle with Mikey Whipwreck and a Clash of the Champions showdown with Brian Pillman.

In Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul, you will fight as a number of characters unlockable through the game’s four campaigns that loosely detail the events of the show. Saint Seiya and his friends all draw their power from certain constellations, with Seiya’s being the Pegasus. Along the way you will be assigned a new character almost every fight, so the playable character roster blows up pretty quickly.

Episode 5: Polarized immediately starts from the previous episode’s cliffhanger, which took the series into much darker territory than the earlier episodes, and Polarized dips into the survival-horror genre in the same way that previous installments lifted elements from other genres.
