Castro has made huge strides this season and is more than deserving to be selected for his first appearance in the mid-summer classic. At his current pace (12 homers, 31 RBI) Castro is set to vault into the top 10 at catcher in 2014.

The trade from the Rockies to the Mets has given Young a new lease on life. The biggest question mark is whether he can get on-base enough to utilize his speed. The depleted Mets outfield should provide plenty of opportunities for Young to get his game on track (and he got off to a nice start as a Met as you can see in the video below). He did manage to steal 27 bases in only 198 at-bats in 2011, so there is reason for optimism.
