The Wire Troll: With a Dash of Dynasty

We realize this is a total reach especially considering the Vikings will travel to Cincinnati on Sunday. So why are we high on Cassel? We watched him and his Vikings simply outhustle the red hot Eagles that we recommended was a good play in Week 15. Yes, that game was in Minnesota, which is a very tough place to play. We have been to that dome for baseball and football contests and it is ear shattering. As usual our excuse for choosing Cassel is that he is a veteran. Sure he failed in Kansas City (and things got ugly as you can see in the video below), and we realize Minnesota is out of the playoff picture. Those are also great reasons Cassel can be trusted. Basically, he has no pressure on him because nobody is expecting anything out of him. We also think Cassel can make the Vikings be bold. If he flourishes down the stretch, why not make him he starter next season? We all know they will draft a quarterback high this offseason. Dare they pull off a Green Bay like decision and make the high pick watch and learn? If so having Cassel on your roster to end the season could make him a Dynasty insurance policy.

The Wire Troll: Tyler Toffoli Can’t Be Ignored

Sometimes there’s no time for chit chat in Fantasy hockey and this is one of times. Why? Honestly, the holiday roster freeze comes later this week and we want to apprise you of the best waiver wire picks before you either forget them or just don’t realize that moves by general managers (real world) cannot be made. It can be a bit of an agonizing time for Fantasy owners too as some decisions are made with those bottom six players as the injured are also on the mend in some cases.

The Wire Troll: Terrence Ross is a Perfect Holiday Gift

Oh, the ability, skill and results that Stoudemire flashed until his knees went faulty. The former Phoenix Suns All-Star has struggled to stay healthy and play productive minutes off the Knicks bench. Recently, however, he has been on a roll with several productive games (scoring, rebounds, blocks) and his minutes have increased. He even was able to make it through back-to-back games this week for the first time this season. By no means is Stat a sure thing going forward, but take advantage while the going is good.

The Wire Troll: Nick Bjugstad Flashing Talent in Florida

This interesting fact is that the wire this season is a lot less loaded because of all these injuries (46 in the last week alone). Decisions are having to be reached on players that would normally never even get a sniff of a Fantasy roster but yet here we are. What can you do? Is there any hope? Those are excellent questions.

The Wire Troll: Silver and Black and Brown Edition?

Unless your league rewards for return yards, Ginn should be available. He is the number three WR for Carolina and his furious speed in the slot makes him a game changing option. Ginn only has 29 receptions on 51 targets so he doesn’t have the best hands, but he does have 469 yards and four TDs. He also leads the team with 16.2 yards per catch.
