This is the case where a pivot could benefit from injuries very quickly. Baertschi has talent that is well documented and just seems to succeed wherever he goes. The question becomes does he wind up on the first or second line? That will make a slight difference as far as his production but honestly little else. Expect Baertschi to put up a nice solid rookie campaign and garner some Calder consideration. A point total is hard to project with him but let’s just say he is going to have opportunities to impress.

he former Kentucky star isn’t used to losing, but he’s sure having to deal with his fare share of it in the Big Easy. Davis has already dealt with health woes, missing nearly three weeks in November and December with an ankle injury and suffering a concussion earlier in the season. But when he’s played, he’s made a quick adjustment to the NBA game, flashing occasional scoring punch and improving rebounding and block numbers. Still, he’s big and strong and is an excellent post player that should be a monster rebounder. Griffin’s ability to score with his back to the basket will also stead him well in the NBA. He’s completely healthy now, and ready to make his mark, and the best part is, plenty of owners will sleep on him come draft day after his lost 2009-10 campaign.
