2014 NBA Draft Profile: Andrew Wiggins

The lanky, 6’8″, 200-pound Canadian showed there is something very special about his game, posting a 20.8 points, 7.9 boards line per 40 minutes at the University of Kansas. Wiggins’ length and speed made it very easy to break down defenders, and get to the basket. In Summer League action, he seemed to show the same kind of explosiveness getting to the basket with confidence and seemingly with ease. In four games, Wiggins averaged 15.5 points, 3.5 rebound and 0.3 assists, shooting 40.7 per cent from the field.

2014 MLB Draft Preview: Tyler Kolek Scouting Report

They are consistent but not particularly polished, especially the finish in his delivery. He comes across his body to the third base side of the mound, which makes you wonder if his command could be hindered. Kolek’s stuff is potentially dominant, with a fastball that hovers around 99 mph, and his 6’6”, 250-pound frame is imposing. His curveball and slider are works in progress, but of course, we love the fastball (who doesn’t?), as it can hit as high as 102, which is unprecedented for a high-schooler.

CFL Player Jon Cornish: Canada’s Top Athlete

Of course, no one’s perfect, and Cornish is no exception. Back in 2012, the Stampeders lost to the Saskatchewan Roughriders 30-25, and he was so frustrated that he turned his back to the Saskatchewan fans, dropped his trousers and gave them a full moon. Cornish had been trolling the Riders’ online fan forums, leaving comments and tweaking the fans for some time, but the conversation within the forums had become so hostile that he’d stopped interacting.
