Battlefield 1 is stunning in every facet. Map design is simply beautiful, whether it’s the foliage dotting the hills of Monte Grappa or the shelled, sandy beaches of Empire’s Edge. It all looks spectacular. Each map you play on has dynamic weather conditions that not only affect the visuals but also severely has an impact on the gameplay.

After having a serious conflict with a super-aggressive alien race in the last XCOM, the sequel starts off with the forces of Earth technically having lost the first battle. In XCOM 2, it’s a fight for survival, as you guide your forces around the world knocking down alien black sites and rescuing specialists that can aid the fight.

Vermintide features a campaign that takes you from the very beginning days of the invasion all the way to the ground-shaking conclusion, with some standalone levels tossed in for good measure. The game’s main menu is actually an Inn where you can walk around, check your weapons, upgrade them to unlock traits, and even craft new weapons.

No Man’s Sky is unquestionably filled with gorgeous visuals despite a few noticeable issues. Each planet you visit is different, even if those differences are minor, and each may contain flora and fauna. Textures aren’t the most detailed, but they’re not as bad as some suggested.

The thing about this game is that it’s highly technical. Like, really damn technical. In order to pull off some of the better combos you will be looking at learning some severely difficult button inputs. There is a training mode to help you out, but unless you’re strictly playing local you can kick a lot of that time you spent training to the curb.

Navigating the menus is an easy feat, as the inventory and character management screens have received a bit of fine tuning. You don’t really ever have to worry about inputs not triggering correctly or registering at all because of the deliberate combat system that is turn-based and generally clearly labeled.
