The Wire Troll: Mulling Byron Mullens

His slump continued into January, but Green is showing signs of awakening from his slumber, reaching double digits in scoring in the last two games, racking up five steals and five treys along the way. This dude shoots the vast majority of his shots from downtown, and although he’s not hoisted as many as usual lately, he’s been deadly accurate. Green has simply canned more buckets this season as he continues to improve as an NBA player. While he’s hot, pick him up – especially if you need help in three-pointers. Remember that San Antonio only plays twice next week, so if you pick him up, bench him in weekly formats.

The Wire Troll: Al-Farouq Aminu is Cleaning the Glass

With CP3 currently nursing a bruised kneecap, Bledsoe has started the past few games, once again emerging with some value. At this point, Paul is expected back any day, but if this injury lingers into next week, Bledsoe will be huge with the Clips on tap for five games. Bledsoe has averaged 6.5 boards in the past two games, has eight steals over the last three games and the youngster is having a career year as he proves he can be a weapon off the bench for the Clippers. 2012 RotoRob Basketball Awards

Last season, Durant stayed healthy, became a bigger threat from beyond the arc, and enjoyed career bests in rebounds and assists. Okay, so his FT shooting has slipped the past couple of years, but he’s still among the best in the biz from the charity stripe. Oh, and he also upped his scoring last season. In the first half of this season, Durant has again been durable, and while he’s not taking as many shots – especially from downtown (although he’s been more accurate from ever there) – he’s sinking his freebies at his best rate ever and continues to be a beast on the boards. Durant’s scoring is up again, and he’s averaging a career best 1.5 steals per game. Yup, this All-Star is still improving at the age of 24, and yes, that’s a freaking scary proposition.

The Wire Troll: Andre Drummond Needs More PT

To wit, he’s barely cracked the top 150 among two-guards so far this season, but we still love his prospects for the remainder of the campaign. Now that Boston has its full lineup together at last, we’re expecting Bradley to really roll. He made his season debut Wednesday, and looked predictably rusty in 20 minutes. Friday, he got a bit more PT, responding with six points, a board, an assist, a steal and a block. Bradley makes the Celtics a better team, so the PT will come, and when it does, the production will follow. Jump on him now while you can.
