Brooks started Friday and put up his second straight 12-point effort thanks to a pair of treys. He’s recorded a steal in each of the last three games and given that he’s the only active PG in the Windy City right now, he’s worth playing until his teammates get healthy.

Caldwell-Pope has been a nice surprise for the Pistons this season as the former eighth overall pick has really stepped up his game. One of the nicest surprises from this young man has been his three-point shooting. He has made 16 of his last 36 attempts from beyond the arc over the last six games. You would like to see KCP’s other numbers go up, but if you are looking for a three-point specialist, he may be your guy, even if his shooting is inconsistent. He has had games of 1-for-6, 0-for-6 and 1-for-8 from downtown, but when he gets it going, he gets it going. The bottom line is any guy averaging 36 minutes needs to be owned — especially one with this kind of upside.

Many believe the key to Fantasy basketball success lies in your ability to hoard point guards and power forwards. What you want out of your point guard is simple: lots of dimes, plenty of points and tons of treys. Ideally, they are also great free throw shooters. But bear in mind, while assists is a by-product of having the ball in their hands most of the time, so are turnovers, so pay attention to that all important assist-to-turnover ratio.

A year ago, we checked out the NBA Game Time App with Broadband League Pass on the Xbox 360 and found it to be an uneven experience — due mostly to poor stability in the actual stream. This time we’re jumping to next-gen and checking out the other console by reviewing the app for the PlayStation 4. The cost remains unchanged from the premium pass (US$199 for all 30 teams), while the choice package (in which you select any five teams) has gone from US$140 to US$149.

With the performance Fournier is delivering, he could be the sixth man even when Oladipo returns. It doesn’t look as if the Magic got worked in that trade as we initially thought.

If you’ve played a sports title of any variety in the past several years you should have a pretty good idea of what awaits you in NBA Live ’15. Dynasty puts you in the GM’s seat, providing decision making power over all aspects of personnel (trades, free agency and the draft) as well as some coaching input in the form of minutes distribution. Trade logic is decent, though it doesn’t feel like it’s weighing salary enough as we were routinely able to dump bad contracts.

Thompson is due for an extension and if he continues his trajectory of improvement, it’ll be a no brainer for the Warriors (even if they are going to be up against the cap for a while). Last season, Thompson became a more integral part of the offense, and while his FT shooting has slid the past couple of seasons, he did a better job on the offensive glass.
