The 6’10” rookie has seen some erratic minutes lately playing in the midst of Denver’s injured frontcourt. For the most part, Jokic has been making the most of it with a double-double on Sunday (his second in three games) and 16 points on Tuesday. As long as he’s starting, he’s worth owning as he’ll contribute points and boards to your team. Now, if Jokic can just learn to stay out of foul trouble, but such is life for young bigs in the NBA.

The Grizzlies acquired Super Mario Tuesday in a trade with the Heat. Since his debut in Memphis, that’s exactly what he’s been – superb. In just 21 minutes per game over the last three contests, Chalmers has scored double digits, including a 29-point performance Tuesday against the Thunder. We repeat — against the Thunder. He clearly didn’t fear Oklahoma’s defensive roar as he attacked the paint and received 15 free throw attempts (canning 13). Chalmers will hit treys, get to the line and a hit a ton of free throws for your team.

This Australian veteran has the right Spurs mentality — sacrificing for the greater good, so you didn’t hear any moaning when injuries and team depth saw him take a back seat last season after looking like he was on the cusp of a breakout in 2013-14. This season, however, Mills is seeing more action than ever, so he needs to be on the radar of owners in deeper leagues as a solid backcourt depth option. This week, at the very least, he may make for a solid pickup in standard sized leagues, too.

This season, McDermott may see time at both the three and four and he earned his first career start on Thursday. We’re starting to see his offensive skills, with back-to-back double digit scoring games earlier this week (including a five-trey show on Tuesday) and he’s being rewarded with more PT (26.5 MPG over the last two). The fact that Bulls won the game that McBuckets started bodes well for more. Grab him now.

Young is being very productive as a scoring threat off the Laker bench early on, averaging 15.5 points with 3.5 treys per game. Toss in three steals on Friday and he gets even more intriguing, but we’d like to see him getting closer to 25 MPG before completely going crazy here, so for now he’s only recommended in, say, 14-team or larger leagues.

The 2015-16 NBA season kicks off on Tuesday with three games on tap, but the one that intrigues us the most has the Cleveland Cavaliers visiting the Chicago Bulls in a rematch of last season’s Conference Semi-Finals, won in six games by the Cavs, on their way to representing the East in the NBA Finals.
