The kid has barely had time to catch his breath since his recall from Double-A and all he’s done so far is a two-hit (including a triple and run) debut Thursday, a two-homer, four-RBI game Friday, and his first double (plus another run and ribbie) Saturday. What? No steals yet? The stiff! Kidding aside, it’s small wonder this dude has been flying off the wire – especially since he may qualify at both 3B and SS. You need to act fast if you want in on this one.

Despite Tim’s best efforts to get RotoRob off his game (by distracting him with talk of gummy-bear topped chocolate chip cookies), the show went more or less seamlessly, as we once again tackled a whole host of Fantasy baseball related issues.

Casilla was absolutely lights out in a setup role in 2010 and 2011, but he can’t seem to stop servering up dingers this year. After giving up a combined three homers in 107 IP over the last two years, he’s been burned for seven long balls in just 40 innings this year (most recently serving up a go-ahead homer in extra innings in a July 30 loss). Ugh.

Since the All-Star break, Ludwick has been on fire — mashing seven homers with 23 RBI in just 68 at-bats. He has been a key player in the Reds jumping into a 5 1/2 game lead in the NL Central.

That whole trade deadline thingy went down, leaving us with a veritable cornucopia of deals to discuss. He’s been on a serious roll since mid-July (seven straight scoreless outings, five of them hitless), and now that he’s survived the non-waiver trade deadline (there had been talk that San Francisco was very interested in him), Perez’s value for the remainder of the season has been solidified.
