Adrianza isn’t exactly seizing his opportunity either, but at least he had drawn walks in three straight (adding a hit on Wednesday) and putting up another hit Friday. He’s actually already seen nearly as much action as he did last year with the Twins and he’s hitting better. Not great… but better. Adrianza has definitely shown he can provide periodic offensive sparks off the bench, but as a starter, there are questions. Still, as a short-term option in a very deep NL-only league, he’s worth a flier.

On Friday, he was the hero with a two-run triple (his second hit of the game) being the difference in extra innings. This minor league veteran was taken in the 11th round by the Giants back in 2013 before being signed as a minor league free agent by the Mets in early January last year. It’s super early days, but the fact that Fargas has managed to cut his swinging strike rate from Triple-A is a promising sign, so while the Mets are battered, give him a look in deep NL-only formats.

If you’re desperate at the always tough to fill catcher slot, Knapp has managed three hits and four walks over the last three games, but he’s shown almost no extra-base sock so far this season. For what it’s worth, he’s seeing fewer split-finger fastballs this year after having a bit of success against the pitch last year. As a temporary NL-only option, you could do worse than using Knapp until Realmuto returns.
