Video Game Review: Battlefleet Gothic: Armada

Abaddon the Despoiler has arrived in the Gothic sector for vague reasons, and it’s up to the Imperial Navy to stop him. The basic plot setup is perhaps on the simple side, but there’s actually a fair amount of intrigue as things ramp up. While the central conflict is between the Imperial and Chaos factions, the Eldar and Orks are also present to give things a bit of variety.

Video Game Review: Anno 2205

As a genre, building games can be fairly complex and intimidating. Conversely, Anno 2205 is actually a fairly good introductory course. The game starts off charging players to build up their corporation’s newly owned temperate land mass enough to have the technology and funds to build a route to the moon, which in this scenario is going to be the cure for humanity’s energy woes.

Video Game Review: Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below

Dragon Quest Heroes has a pretty standard combat loop, and while fun generally, it can feel a bit old after a while. You and three of your party members are dropped into a map with a horde of enemies with simple goals. Sometimes it will be to kill most of the enemies, but often it involves defending something from harm.
