It does seem odd to us that teams with some major holes to fill are spending big bucks. We find this peculiar because experts say this year’s draft is deeper than ever. However, if NFL teams don’t spend all of their cap money, the league reserves the right to seize the extra dough and distribute it to the players as it sees fit. So cheers to the surplus and here are our winners, held steadies and losers. more

Paired with that strong narrative is the excellent sphere grid leveling system. Here, each character begins at a specific point on a massive grid surrounded by class-appropriate nodes. These can then be activated by moving to an adjacent point and using the correct sphere (power spheres for strength and hit point bonuses, ability spheres for new skills and so on). It holds up incredibly well in creating a feeling of perpetual advancement, and there’s a fair amount of freedom for customization once you move past the early stages of development. more

Griffin has been able to log more PT this season, and while his shooting has slipped slightly once again and he’s never developed into a shot blocker, he is enjoying his finest season offensively. More than anything, it’s his consistency — 26 straight games of at least 20 points — that has really stuck out. more
