Back in 1997 when the likes of Doom and Duke Nukem were the go-to games in terms of wanton violence, a small racing game came out of left field, crying blood from its eyes. That game was Carmageddon, and though it wasn’t the most polished title on the market, it established quite the cult following.

Actually playing the game, however, ends up being an exercise in repetition. So much so, in fact, that we were able to accurately call out when things — like checkpoints and brief cut scenes that introduce larger battles — were going to appear with incredible accuracy. Ghostbusters never throws a curveball, and you end up more or less doing the same thing the same way across the game’s 10 levels.

Well, we’re finally getting our wish Sunday as Bundy will start — and get a very favourable matchup against the Rays, to boot. Taken fourth overall in 2011, the rookie hurler has a chance to stick in the rotation, at least for a time being. He’s only about 40 innings shy of the innings cap Baltimore has set on its prized prospect, so this is likely going to be a short-term pickup. But if you need pitching help with major upside, Bundy’s your man.

Despite all the online hand wringing, Affleck does a fine job as Batman, angling the character away from being an idealistic playboy and toward an angry, frustrated man that’s questioning how much of an impact years of fighting lawlessness has really had. It’s a grittier version than even Christian Bale played, and it’s good to see them jump past the origins and make Batman an established presence.

Since coming off the DL after undergoing 2015 Tommy John surgery, McCarthy has had his strikeout pitch working, fanning 14 in 10 IP while going 2-0 with a sparkling 2.70 ERA. Watch for the Dodgers to slowly stretch him out in the second half, which will make him even more valuable. With good veteran pitching hard to come by, McCarthy won’t last long, so pounce while you can.

Trials of The Blood Dragon is quite fun to watch. The explosive neon theme from Far Cry: Blood Dragon makes the transition in both good and bad ways. Starting with the good, the game looks splendid. It doesn’t quite pack the levels with high-poly models or anything like that, but the sweet and sharp colouring of any given stage creates quite the sight.
