The Wire Troll: Ryan Tepera Tackling the Ninth for Toronto

One of the top prospects in the game was promoted to Triple-A this week, so you’re running out of time to grab Jimenez if you want him. At Double-A, he morphed back into more a neutral groundball/flyball hitter, but has been hitting the ball on the ground quite a bit since the promotion. With his power, you want Jimenez hitting the ball in the air and now that he’s so close to the Show, the countdown will begin in earnest.

Video Game Review: Vampyr

Set in a sickness-ridden London in the aftermath of World War I, Vampyr casts you as Dr. Reid, who earned a reputation during WWI for his work (conveniently enough) with blood transfusions. He awakes in a grave, reborn as a vampire, and immediately kills his sister in a fit of blood lust. In the aftermath of that incident, Reid vows to track down the one that turned him and make them answer for it.

The Wire Troll: Hector Rondon Earning Saves in Houston

Boyd has a tendency to fall behind hitters, and that sometimes hurts his efficiency and ability to go deep into his starts, but it’s hard to argue with how effective he’s been, peripherals aside. Although it’s not a huge part of his arsenal, his K rate is up lately (11 in 11 1/3 IP over his last two starts) and he’s poised to shatter his career high in innings pitched in what’s quietly been a breakout campaign. Boyd hasn’t given up more hits than innings in a start since May 1, and with a 4-4 mark and solid ERA, he’s definitely worth owning in AL-only or deeper mixed leagues.

Blu-ray Review: Sherlock Gnomes

At a time when so many “children’s” films offer up new ideas or at least fresh takes on old ones, Sherlock Gnomes feels like a pre-Pixar effort. Blu-ray Review: Tomb Raider

Vikander shines the brightest, effortlessly projecting an image of both innocence and emerging strength — it’s a long way from Jolie’s fairly sexually charged portrayal, and it’s meant to be since the gaming series dialed back early Lara’s “proportions” with the reboot. As with the game, however, Lara’s transition from doe-eyed victim to hardened killer feels rushed after both handled her initial kill quite well.

The Wire Troll: CJ Abrams Making His Case For 2019 Draft

An Alabama commit, Abrams is currently projected as a top 10 pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, so dynasty league owners need to start paying attention. This 6’2″, 182-pound 17-year-old was selected to the USA Baseball U18 National Team. Abrams is a superior athlete, having made the all-region basketball team last year. As you can see in the video below, he has a sweet left-handed batting stroke capable of generating power.
