Video Game Review: Persona 5

Persona 5 starts out similarly to Persona 4, with a young student being forced to move and attend high school in a very different setting from where they grew up. This time our lead relocates from the countryside to Tokyo due to being branded a minor criminal. Soon enough they gain the ability to use Personas and the code name “Joker,” and then it’s off to balance dungeon diving and having a social life.

Video Game Review: Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition

Bulletstorm walks an unusual path with its story. On the one hand it’s about revenge and righting a wrong that has been done to you. On the other, the characters spend about 90 per cent of their time busting each other’s balls. It almost feels like they had the outline of a serious story and then decided just to record the most testosterone-filled dialogue they could. It’s an odd mix.

Video Game Review: The Walking Dead — A New Frontier, Episode 3

While Above the Law’s story is markedly better than the start of this season, it sings the best when Clementine is in the picture. We just hope that the bubbling conflict here doesn’t play into the tropes we’ve seen in all forms of Walking Dead media (AKA “people are horrible and violent forever and ever and ever”).
