The Wire Troll: Ryan Fitzpatrick Gets Another Chance

So Tannehill had a bad game on Monday, but don’t worry, it’s not going to crush him. If he is owned in your league he will now be the fall guy. The best part about that is nobody else will want him either, so he can be had extremely cheap right now. Tannehill committed four turnovers on Monday but at least two of those were not his fault. He’s a warrior and he will bounce back.

The 2013 RotoRob Wire Troll MLB All-Star Team

After a dreadful first half in which he spent more than two months on the DL dealing with a gimpy hamstring, Ramos has taken his game to a new level in the second half. Solid performances in both July and August have been followed up by a September in which he’s exploded — bashing six homers with 23 RBI. He’s played a huge role in Washington’s late-season surge and has the potential to be a force at his position for many years to come.

The Wire Troll: The Arrival of Taijuan Walker

For September callups, playing time always has to be a concern but some of these kids aren’t simply getting the call as a reward for a great season down on the farm. Teams that are out of the playoff hunt will be using September as an opportunity to get a jump on 2014 and the contenders will be looking to rest some of their regulars heading into the playoffs. Picking and choosing which of these prospects can return value is always a bit of a challenge, but rest assured, some of these September callups will be valued contributors to our game.

The Wire Troll: Brian Roberts Finally Healthy

It seems we can finally use the words “healthy” and “Brian Roberts” in the same sentence. It has been a long time coming. In his past seven starts, Roberts has driven in eight runs, capped off by a grand slam Friday against the A’s. Finding help in those counting categories out of the middle-infield is never an easy task and Roberts should provide just that heading into September.
