De'Andre Hunter is finally healthy for the Atlanta Hawks.

The Wire Troll: De’Andre Hunter Back in Action

Allen got the flu last month and really struggled with his shot when he returned… then, he got COVID and missed more time. Upon his return on Thursday, he shook off his shooting woes to can 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-7 from downtown for 15 points with five boards, two steals and a block. Allen has shot better this month, and has been hoisting way more long bombs this season.

Nic Claxton has really stepped up for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Wire Troll: Nic Claxton Breaking Out in Brooklyn

The thing is, Philly is just 3-8 when he’s out, so it’s pretty obvious how vital the big man is to the team. The good news is Embiid is healthy and rolling right now, scoring at least 34 points in three straight, and while he’s seen slightly less PT this month, he’s really been efficient with it. His touches are actually down a smidge this season, but he’s been getting more and more looks each month, so that’s clearly not an issue.

Nicolas Roy has been given more ice time for the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Wire Troll: Here We Go Again

Not much has gone right for the Isles so far, but the development of Dobson — the team’s leader in Fantasy points — has been a very pleasant surprise. After picking up a PP assist on Sunday, he now leads all Isle blueliners in goals, helpers, points and shots on goal. Dobson had a quiet November offensively, but has gone off for six points in just nine games this month, while seeing a big boost in minutes. He should soar past his career best in points in no time.

Max Strus has stepped up for the Miami Heat.

The Wire Troll: Max Strus Searing for Heat

He’s played at least 21 minutes in three of the last four games, snapped a shooting drought (11-for-15) and finally jacked up more three-point attempts than he has recently. Strus has improved his rebounding work this season and since returning from a knee injury in mid-November, has managed to score in double-digits eight times. The DePaul product came out of college known for his athleticism and shooting, especially from downtown, but there were concerns about his ability to get to the hoop. Strus could be a nice DFS play if Herro remains out.

Tua Tagovailoa should come up big in Week 15 for the Miami Dolphins.

Waiver Pick of the Week: Tua Tagovailoa

He’s rostered on 38 per cent of teams in ESPN leagues, and makes for a great waiver wire pickup this week as he’s primed to take advantage of a favorable matchup against the New York Jets. In Week 14 against the Giants, Tagovailoa completed 30-of-41 pass attempts for 244 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, and will now try to keep the Dolphins firing on all cylinders this weekend.

Valeri Nichushkin is finally delivering on his promise for the Colorado Avalanche.

The Wire Troll: Valeri Nichushkin Coming of Age in Colorado

Nichushkin’s production has led to an uptick in PT; on both Wednesday and Friday, for instance, he paced all Colorado forwards in ice time. At 6’4″, 210, he has amazing size for a winger, and given how powerful his skating is, there’s amazing upside here. If Nichushkin is finally developing a bit of consistency and will battle game in and game out, look out.
