The Wire Troll: Corey Brewer Taking Advantage of Nugget Injuries

However, Harris is showing signs of life lately, playing at least 26 minutes in each of the past three games and reaching double digits in points in three of the past four. On Wednesday, he dropped eight dimes and pitched in with a couple of steals. If you need help at PG, give Harris a look. He’ll give you headaches from time to time, but is generally doing enough to be owned in all formats.

The Wire Troll: Jiri Tlusty Moves to Top Line

Do you get the feeling that the NHL trade deadline is getting closer? The answer is surely an emphatic yes. At press time, there will only be eight days until one of the craziest days of the year in hockey. The speculation always rises every season even if the trades do not live up to the hype. Say hello to cold reality, but players will change teams even before the deadline and some already have.

The Wire Troll: Mikael Samuelsson Quietly Producing in Florida

The goal is to show a little love to some players on the waiver wire that usually do not receive any. Sometimes, it’s not easy in Fantasy leagues to navigate through the murk and mire of the dog days. The Wire Troll: C.J. Watson’s Got Derrick Rose’s Back

Watson has started two of the past three games for Rose, and has seen a general uptick in minutes thanks to Rose’s condition – and the fact that even when Rose has been healthy, the Bulls have been blowing out opponents, giving extra PT to all the bench players. In 25 minutes of action Friday, Watson shot it decently (3-for-7), but put some nice peripherals with five assists, four steals and three boards. On Monday, he came through with a double-double, his first since he was a Warrior. Rose remains day-to-day, giving Watson a small window to put up big numbers.

The Wire Troll: Sam Gagner Goes Wild

Now, there are times when the NHL All-Star Break is a very good thing. Some players respond well after a little rest and relaxation from game action. Imagine the stretch run as a chance to bolster playoff position or try to make the dance. Players and Fantasy hockey general managers generally think the same way in this regard. Week 17 is up ahead in most Fantasy leagues and if you are not ready, chances for success will pass you by.

The Wire Troll: Jerryd Bayless Starting Again For Raptors

Bayless has started three of the past four games at the two, and had scored at least 14 points per game in four straight before sinking just 1-of-6 for three points on Friday. Still, the minutes were there (28), and I expect the production to follow. He’s been jacking up more treys this season and draining them at an impressive 40 per cent rate, so if Bayless maintains this starting role and keeps getting 25+ MPG, he’s going to help you.
