The thing that any expert fears is looking back at his predictions from the start of the season, and when he mostly cringes, you know it did not go quite as well as it planned. There is no way in Hades that everyone can get everything right. It is just mentally and physically impossible. Now do I really want to look at this list? Honestly, I really should because it gives an insight of just what we were thinking would happen compared to what actually transpired.

Truly, the end has to come sometime and sadly the regular season has ended There are 60 minutes to go until my hockey podcast. The question is can I finish this before the show starts? The fun of pressure and meeting deadlines in a hockey-centric world is at its height at this time of year. It’s time to get fired up. If you are not, you may need some serious help here!

So we have joked all year about how some waiver pickups have gone so much better than others. Let’s face facts here. Sometimes our misses are spectacular and our hits are lights out as well. I have to say that this year we have more hits than misses.

As we wind down the last few weeks, we regret to inform you that soon you will see those evil Year End award type posts from us and we apologize. The best thing that I have learned from doing this column all season is all the players that actually worked and the several dozen that did not quite pan out so much. Again, there is the standard “my bad” that can be used.

This just in: it is still raining outside. At last check there was about five inches of rain or more depending on what part of the Tri-state area you are from. Even if you are not, that is a ton of rain. On the bright side, things are not flashing and the lights are staying on. This is essential to try to accomplish some writing assignments and such. I think it is comical that the wind was blowing so hard for a while there that you thought it was a tornado blowing in. I can assure you that it was not and that power is restored at least here.
