Running back is a very difficult position to assess this year. The dreaded running back by committee approach that so many teams employ has added a lot of guess work to the game, and that doesn’t even factor in the number of backs that are either (a) hurting; or (b) coming off an injury.

All right, we’ve all heard the time-honoured Fantasy advice concerning your team defense: wait, wait and wait a little longer before making your move on draft day. The problem with some of these ancient axioms is that they were forged back in the days when Fantasy defenses accumulated points for sacks, turnovers, defensive touchdowns and – maybe – special teams’ scores. Gostkowski doesn’t have a monster leg like some of these other kickers, but damn it, he is on the Patriots! For any regular season games, that means he is good for at least four extra points and probably a field goal or two. That will put him around 10 points or so per week. We think you can live with that.

He made his big league debut last year, looking absolutely superb in seven starts and 35 IP. Delgado actually improved his homer rate from Triple-A, and remains in competition for the fifth starter in Atlanta this season. He had a decent record in Double-A, but his strand rate at Triple-A was higher. Delgado has superb mound presence and features a low-90s fastball, a tremendous changeup, and a fine curveball. He could top out as a No. 2 starter in time.
