The Wire Troll: Cameron Johnson Could Thrive Down the Stretch

Milton has been providing some key contributions to the Sixers lately, scoring 17 or more in three of the last four and on Thursday adding four assists, three boards, two blocks and a steal. He’s perfect from the line this month (not that he gets there that often, mind you), but most impressive is that he’s been playing at a top 30 level over the last week, so grab Milton while you can.

The Wire Troll: Juan Hernangomez Helped by Minny Injury

Theis continues to be an unsung hero in Boston, but on a team lacking size, he’s playing an important role and doing a tremendous job. He’s scored nine or more points in four straight, putting up one double-double and flirting with others. Theis has been getting to the line more often than usual this month, and after seeing a slight uptick in touches last season, has become a bigger cog in the offense this season. Sure, Tucker’s offensive upside is limited, but if you can use a dude that cans 1.5 three-pointers per game, here you go.

The Wire Troll: Rodney McGruder Should See More Minutes

As the fifth overall pick last year, Garland’s rookie season hasn’t exactly been awe inspiring as he’s struggled with his shooting. But he was terrific on Thursday, scoring 14 points (his third straight game of at least 12) while adding a career-best eight dimes. Okay, so he was playing the sieve-like Charlotte defense, but still, the kid is starting to turn the corner and set himself up for a big second half. With Cleveland likely to be sellers at the deadline, Garland has a chance to be a real steal down the stretch, so grab him now.
