Johnson got off to a great start, but has regressed to his norm as of late, which isn’t all that bad of a norm. Hart, meanwhile, is on fire and absolutely tearing the cover off the ball. I’d go with Hart right now and have him active to take advantage of his current hot streak, fully knowing that at some point in time all good things do come to an end.

The 24-year-old Arrieta is next in line to get the call. In 71 IP at Triple-A Norfolk, he’s posted a 6-2 record while allowing 45 hits and 34 walks and striking out 62. In an interesting bit of news, Arrieta pitched two innings in a relief role on Saturday. Is this a tune-up for a promotion to the Orioles this week? I think so, and those in AL-only and deeper formats should take the plunge and get him rostered for the upcoming period.

The picture of Morales on the ground with his leg bent in the wrong direction is not a pretty one, folks, and this is a huge loss to the Angels as they try to keep pace with both the Rangers and Athletics in a suddenkly tough American League West Division. I’m not against celebrating, but let’s face it, this wasn’t Game Seven of the World Series and it’s just about time to cut this crap out of the game before someone else gets seriously hurt.
