Blu-ray Review: Overlord

Beyond the performances, Overlord does an effective job of building suspense in the early going and then transitioning to some good action set pieces later on. The film is judicious with its green screen usage, keeping everything feeling gritty and real. Plus, when the time does come for CGI it’s really well done.

As Daniel comes to grips with having powers, Sean is burdened with being the role of a guardian. He must teach Daniel right from wrong, which is difficult given the many gray areas they face in the name of survival. At the same time, Daniel has extraordinary powers that can project his emotions outward — for rescue, for vengeance, or for other extreme emotions.

Video Game Review: Resident Evil 2

Give Capcom credit, it knows how to update its classics. Remade from the ground up for modern consoles, Resident Evil 2 on the Xbox One X is a quantum leap forward, comfortably outdoing the excellent work when the original Resident Evil was redone for Gamecube. The developers deftly walk the line of keeping the bones of RE2 circa 1998 while adding and expanding in ways that make sense. It looks spectacular.

Luka Doncic Should Be a Permanent Fixture on Your Fantasy Team

The Hawks agreed and the talented youngster became the player that Dallas will rebuild its franchise around. This should be enough of a reason for all Fantasy players who are having second thoughts regarding Doncic to include him on their teams. If Dallas went to such great lengths to acquire the Euroleague MVP, then you should do the same.

The Wire Troll: Jerryd Bayless Back in the Saddle

Osman looked like a breakout candidate when he opened the season with a double-double and followed it up with 22 points and eight assists in the second game. However, he shot poorly in November and didn’t jack up as many trey attempts in December. Well, the Turkish forward is back now, scoring 25 points with eight boards on Wednesday and then pouring in a career high 29 on Friday. Osman is getting more touches lately, and has been sinking more buckets this month. He’s canning way more three-pointers this season, so time to give him a look.
