When you get to the wing positions, the reality is there are the top tiers and then it starts dropping pretty quickly. This does not mean that there is not potential below the upper tiers, it just means you may have to dig a bit more than usual.

At some point, there were going to have to be busts. Those players that just stink up the goodness of your Fantasy hockey team. You have seen the rest and below there will be… well… less. When this juncture hits, there are really two ways this can go: either bad or ugly. What we have below is not necessarily the literal lowest of the low. However, reality dictates that with a circumstance or two, these are players that it can turn really ugly for with an express train ride down to Fantasy Splitsville.

However, there will not be the guy (Crosby) that could have easily garnered you 110-to-120 points. I would suggest that 105 points is probably the most you see out of any centre this season, but the depth is still there. When looking at centres, you can get quite lucky once you get out of the top five.

There does come a time when the sleepers rule the roost and surprise everyone. Now we give no guarantee that all of these players listed below will shock and awe, but at the very least, they may just break out. We are going to count to 10 and see if these “recruits” will help lead your Fantasy team to glory. If not, one can laugh at us later plenty, but more times than not we get these right.

There is potential to be had, so if you do not draft one of the first six or seven goalies, you can slide down into the second or third tiers and do just as well. However, goalie runs have been common in drafts so you do want to keep that in mind. Especially because of goaltending, you want to actually show up to your draft.
