In his last six games, the Stanley Cup champion has five goals, 10 points, a plus-6 rating, six penalty minutes, two power play goals, 13 shots on goal, a hit and three blocks. Vermette’s golden run has caught the attention of many, and has made him the seventh hottest commodity on ESPN’s Fantasy waiver wire.

The Wire Troll: Kings Have a Jewel in Tanner Pearson

Only three players have more goals over the past 15 days than Pearson, and they’ve done it in one more game. In his last six games, the Kings’ 2012 first rounder has five goals, six points, a plus-5 rating, 12 shots on goal, nine hits and two blocked shots. Pearson is currently riding a three-game goal streak, and is scoring on more shots than he is missing.

The Wire Troll: Charlie Coyle Powers Surging Wild

Eaves hasn’t been a big Fantasy contributor in his career or even this season, but he’s had a big string of success in recent games that should at least command part of your attention. In his past seven contests, the Dallas winger has managed to collect four goals (three coming on a hat trick), seven points, a minus-1 rating, two penalty minutes, three power play goals, 15 shots on goal, 14 hits and a blocked shot. It’s impressive, but Eaves still only has seven goals, 12 points and 61 shots on goal in 39 games played this season.

2015 RotoRob Hockey Awards

Hodgson scored just six goals and 13 points in 78 games last season, notching a league 11th-worst minus-28 rating. It was by far his worst season ever. This season, Hodgson was doing slightly better with three goals, eight points and a plus-2 rating in 39 games with a much better team in Nashville. Still, he was only on pace for 14 points in 66 games, so in the middle of January, the Preds waived him. He’s currently toiling in the AHL. Woof. Dud.

In the past six games, Dumba has two goals, six points, a minus-1 rating, two penalty minutes, two power play goals, 19 shots on goal, eight hits and four blocked shots. With a change in coaching staff, the former seventh overall pick could see an expanded role in all game situations, making him even more valuable to Fantasy GMs.
