The centre position is undoubtedly the deepest in Fantasy hockey. You likely can miss out on landing one of the top 10 and still fare pretty well in your Fantasy draft. No other position boasts that claim or can really come close. Be on the lookout for multi-positional players — especially down the middle — because they will be just a bit rarer this season.

With the NFL taking on more of a pass happy feel, this year’s wide receiver pool is deeper than ever. Teams like Tennessee, Green Bay, Denver, Indianapolis, Dallas and even Cleveland have three WRs that can produce reputable damage. It’s no wonder teams have a major focus in stockpiling cornerbacks. Frequent three receiver sets against nickel coverage have really started to turn this “Xs & Os” game into a chess match. More athletic quarterbacks — which we’ve seen an influx of recently — are also buying time with their feet and enabling WRs to snap loose down field.

Unless you have been in Antarctica for the last year, you know the Baltimore Ravens won the 2013 Super Bowl. So defense still wins championships, right? When B-More won its first title in 2001, that powerhouse defense basically won it itself, given that Trent Dilfer (!) was the starting QB. Ray Lewis was still the starting middle linebacker in 2013 so they must have had an amazing defense still, right?
