The old guy on the Lakers is reminding us he can score, going off for 22 on Sunday and then adding 20 in just 29 minutes on Tuesday. Young is seeing more minutes lately, and his shooting touch has been off the charts — even from downtown. The Lakers actually have a few guards that can put the ball in the hoop, but Young’s ability to do so consistently makes him an attractive target if your team needs a boost in this department.

Despite Rose being at the top of the depth chart, Jennings — who looks healthy this preseason — is still projected to have an increase in overall production compared to his last two seasons, although it would be nice to see some consistency (he was 0-for-6 on Wednesday after a solid effort on the weekend).

After a slow start to the season (arguably because of usage), he emerged as one of the top rookies in the league, finishing with averages of 9.9 points (on 51.2 per cent shooting), seven boards, 2.4 assists, and one steal in just 21.7 minutes. The key takeaway: Jokic averaged 16.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 10 games when he played 30-plus minutes. Keep in mind that this kid is only 21, so could very well have a breakout season in 2016-2017.

The Wire Troll: Norman Powell Taking Toronto By Storm

With double-digit points in four of his last five contests, Curry is taking clear advantage of his opportunity to start in Sacramento. His best effort came in a loss to the Heat Friday as he managed 21 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal. It will be interesting to see what else Curry does while the Kings are shorthanded, as he may just add to the legacy of the “Curry” name in due time.
