Miami has been one of the early-season pleasant surprises in the NBA, and one of the reasons why has been the play of young players like Robinson. The second-year forward has seen a major boost in minutes recently and he’s responded with four straight games of at least 11 points, including a whopping 29 on Wednesday. Robinson is seeing more than double the PT he did as a rookie, but has more than tripled his scoring output. That’s progress, baby.

Continuing his career season, Pageau exploded on Wednesday, scoring on all three of his shots, one of which was the game-winner, while going +4 with two penalty minutes. The pending UFA may simply be adding to his trade value as rumours suggest the Sens won’t be able to re-sign him, so may deal him this season. And with six goals in his last five games, and currently sitting at a 50-goal pace, Pageau is going to fetch plenty.

Next month, he’ll be participating in some pheasant hunts at Granite Springs Lodge in South Dakota. Several NFL alumni will partner up with seasoned hunters to shoot birds — for charity! All the proceeds generated by these hunts will be donated to the local United Way to help residents and businesses that were affected by floods earlier this fall.

If the Warriors continue to falter and decide to blow it up, Burks is rumoured to be on the block. And right now, all he’s doing is increasing his trade value as another guard getting extra PT with all the backcourt injuries in Golden State. On Wednesday, he went off for 28 points, eight boards, three assists and two steals, and after burning his way through three teams last season, he’s settled in as a key bench player for the Warriors. For now.

Eller has been hot lately, racking up five points over his last five games, while going +2 with 10 shots and one short-handed marker. He slipped a tad offensively last season, but with 10 points in his first 14 games, he could he headed for a career best. Eller was seeing time on the second line earlier this season, but he’s now spearheading the third line.

Hill looks like he’s going to provide value as the Bucks’ sixth man this season, and the fact that he went a team-best +16 in season opener underscores how valuable he is to this team. Always a solid free throw shooter, he flirted with a double-double on Thursday, and it’s looking like he’s going to get much more PT than he received after getting dealt to Milwaukee last season. Hill’s an athletic guard, but has generally been limited by his defense, so coming off the bench suits his game better.
