The Wire Troll: Sven Andrighetto Generating Avalanche of Offense

Called up from the minors midway through the season, Weal has scored eight goals in just 20 games, including goals in each of the last four games, all of them wins for the Flyers. The team has moved him to the second line, and he is now on the second power play unit, which explains why his TOI has gone from 10 to nearly 17 minutes a game over the past few games. Weal has really delivered for the Flyers, and for our money he may have worked his way onto the team’s must-protect list for the upcoming expansion draft.

The Wire Troll: Brayden Point Piling Up Points

In the last seven games, Point is living up to his name and then some by averaging over a point. In the next game, Point scored a goal against Ottawa, then, after a two-assist performance, he had a goal and assist and was +2 in a big win in Boston. He kept the party going by setting up the overtime winner in Detroit. Point has moved to the top line, so with the Lightning making a run for the playoffs, he is someone to consider scooping up.

The Wire Troll: Michael Frolik Sparking Flame in Calgary

Bozak is another player that has has stepped up his game this month. He’s a streaky player in terms of +/-, going +2 in some games and then -4 in others, but he’s put up eight points in March, highlighted by a two-assist night against Detroit, and a goal and an assist in a victory over Philadelphia. Bozak does not shoot the puck much, but does average about 16 minutes of ice time.

The Wire Troll: Evan Turner Could Turn Your Fortunes

No, we’re not just recommending Mills because it was St. Patty’s Day this week, although that’s probably good enough reason. The fact is, he’s been starting for the Spurs lately with the team dealing with tons of backcourt injuries. This is likely just a short-term add, but while Mills is seeing the PT, he needs to be plugged in.
